The Door Supervisor training course consists of two units. They can be taken together, or separately.

Unit 2 - Conflict Management for Door Supervisors

Introduction to communication and conflict management
Self-awareness
Avoiding conflict
Effective communication and customer services skills
Recognising and defusing conflict
Maintaining space
Defusing high risk conflict
Resolving conflict
Learning from conflict

The Door Supervisor Course and exam allow the successful attendee to meet the relevant part of the training requirement for licensing.

Licensing

The Private Security Industry Act 2001 introduced a licensing scheme for the security industry. It is now illegal to work in Door Supervision without a licence issued by the Security Industry Authority.
